If you get one of our puppies and for any reason you change your mind, or decide you do not want him/her anymore.
We will take the puppy back, so please bring back the puppy back to us, or let us know and we can come pick them up.


Tips and Tricks:

Crate Training
Crate training is where you put the puppy in a crate overnight with it closed up. You will want to keep the puppy in the room with you where you sleep, preferably where the puppy can still see you, and in the morning, carry the whole crate outside to where you want to designate as the puppy's potty area and let the puppy out of the crate there.  The idea is that they will not go potty in their bed, but will go a very little distance from their bed to go potty.  So take them directly to the dedicated spot from the crate ( their bed ) thereby conditioning them to potty in a specific area.  Our puppies are used to a dog house so they shouldn't get scared from the crate.  I also was told if they cry, scream, and/ or whine, whatever you do, do not let them out.  If you do, then two things happen, they do not get conditioned and they learn to that if they cry, they will get what they want.

Ear Cleaning
Weimaraners need their ears cleaned regularly, as well as whenever their ears get wet. They love the water, maybe not baths so much, but still they need their ears cleaned after each session.


Best place to buy a Dog House
Lowes has the best prices for brand new dog houses.  You can save at least $40-$60 vs a pet store.  You may find a good deal on a used one on craigslist.com, I've even seen them for free there.


Best place to buy a Dog Door
Home Depot or Lowes has the best prices that I've seen.  You can save at least $20-$30 vs a pet store.


For Sliding Glass Dog Doors
Pet stores usually have them, or you can find them online for cheap.


Resource for Help - "The Dog Whisper"
If you get the National Geographic channel, there's a very good educational dog show called "The Dog Whisper".  He's kind of a weird guy but he definitely knows dogs, how to work with them, and shows people how/what they should do in all sorts of different cases so its very good to watch.  He doesn't really train the dog, he trains the people and rehabilitates dogs.
